Experience with Tein RA coilovers?
Street driving really sucks. Spring rates are way to aggressive for street use. If the cars going to be doing Track days, and autocross, get them but, for all around driving especially on the street it's just not the way to go.
I don't really agree with it.
It's the total opposite from my experience. The rates aren't that stiff and the dampening is pretty good so you won't feel very bouncy or bumpy on the street.
For track use, it's a little bit too soft but still performs very well.

so on the track it's soft.... i have a friend who has HA's and he thinks they are very good on the track. so i assume the Ra's would be better.... excuse me for my ignorance.... and thanks for your opinion guys.

Whoever thinks 14/10 spring rates arent stiff, is wack! I spoke to Tein myself, they insisted that I should only use those coilovers on the track, which they were right. I dont know what kinda roads you guys drive on but, South Floria and RA's dont go good together! I wish I never put those coilovers on my car. For the track, there great, I love them. For all around driving on the street, I would get another coilover or you could waste a hole lot of money making them softer for the street. Personally I think a softer spring rate maybe even the stock ITR setup would work better on the street than the RA's. The RA's absorb nothing on the streets where I live. All it does is slide or hop over cracks or bumps in the road.

I'll be happy to take them off your hands

RAs are rough only if you lower the hell out of your car. It's not stroke adjustable hence you are sacraficing suspension travel as you lower the car. If you lower it enough, you will knock those fillings out of your teeth. Trust me, i have ran those on my EG civic that it was BAD! (my ar was lowered quite a bit) However, they are a GREAT track setup and OK for the streets if you don't plan on lowering your car too much. If you plan on slamming your car, get something that is stoke adjustable like BC RS, Zeal B6 etc.

i'm owned a set once.
my rear passengers use to get some concussion inducing blow to the top of their domes everytime i hit a good bump on the road.
raising the perches to proper height does improve ride quality and even handling.
i'd go with JIC or BC.

I have the ra's on my car and love them. they're the shitist exerience ever on the street thou I can attest to the hop and skipping experience my freind says he enjoys riding in my other freinds integra with tokikos as far as spirited driving goes. its definatly a race coilover. but I love them thinking of buying the rs this summer.
My freind had them on his EG. At the stock setting the back end was super high and too stiff, we dropped the rear alot, and the front approx 15mm. He ran -2.5 front and -1.4 rear camber. The car was screaming for R compounds as you could feel the street tires buckling and getting shoved back down. Held up to 100mph corners though
. On the street... ya they shouldn't be used there, but if you have to, don't drive much. Also you can't drive the car slow, when we were getting held up by traffic you would have a hard time controlling the car because of the stiff rear, it needs the added force of speed. They're a handful and even after seven events my freind was just starting to understand what was involved with driving that setup. I could jump up and down on the rear bumper and the rear wouldn't move under my 150lbs., just the tires would flex. No need for a big rear sway on that either. JIC was a mushy mess by comparison (FLTA2)
