Hello friends, what a day. Very fun course. Lots of high speed sweepers and off camber stuff. Unfortunately, I was forced to run my old back-up set of Kumho race tires, and I had problems all day keeping the front end of the car in the front
.
Here's why; I took the Hoosiers to Discount tire yesterday morning to have them flipped over on the wheel. I picked them up later that afternoon and went to help with course set-up. I also had the drive to Everett and back to pick up the timing van and equipment. Needless to say, I was running around all day and didn't get to pack up the car until about 10:00 Saturday night.
When I was loading the tires, one of them was completely flat. The bead didn't get seated and I didn't notice it when I picked them up earlier. This really sucks because my old Kumhos are hard as a rock and I've become acoustom to driving on Hoosiers.
Long story short, I had big oversteer issues Sunday and no matter what I tried with the suspension and throttle (even changing the rear bar to full soft), I couldn't drive on these things. It's frustrating because the course was totally my style. I'll need to edit the profanity from my in-car video too
.
Anyway, here's some black & white pictures I took today. Not my best photography efforts today either
. The #93 hatchback in the paddock with GSR wheels is me.
