Default crx hf to si problem

i just swapped out my 91 crx hf motor to an si motor (non-vtec) and right away i started to experience problems. when i turn the key to the on position, the fuel injectors as well as the fuel filter start to spit fuel out like crazy! everything seems to be tight and put together properly. could it be bad o-rings? relays? im still using the stock pm8 ecu, but i dont know if that has anything to do with the problem. any ideas?!

which wiring harness do you have on the engine? if your car is HF, you MUST use the HF harness - the Si harness will not work

You should probably be using the PM6 ecu, but I doubt that has the slightest thing to do with the fuel leak.

Most definitely go back through the fuel rail and filter to replace the o-rings and gaskets. You might just want to get a new filter instead of searching for those washers. Any parts store should be able to get you o-rings for the injectors.

Just hit me.

The Hf and Si use different banjo bolts on the fuel lines. The Hfs have a single hole in them, while the Si's have a recessed ring carved into them. I'm not sure if there's a way to make one or the other work together, but it's definitely something you should be aware of and check out.

Also make sure that you have a copper washer on both sides of the banjo or it will not seal.

the first time i took my intake mani apart (i was getting ready to do the dx to si conversion, but a didnt show up) when i put it back together i had the same prob. Tightening up the banjo bolt fixed it. - if that helps out

you can use the si harness on a hf all you have to do is move the ignitor(white) wire to the other shock tower, im using a si on my hf, it took a while to figure it out tho

you cannot swap HF and Si harnesses - all of the wires are in different locations where the harness plugs into the chassis harness at the firewall on the driver's side - on the HF, the alternator wire goes through this connector which it doesn't on the Si
