Default FIRST time at track UPDATE!! 2.3 60ft..im an idiot!

just got back from the track again with a 2.309 60 ft. and ran a 14.74

60........2.38
1/8.......9.682
1/4.......14.89
mph.....93.36

UPDATE: I AM AN IDIOT AT READ THE REACTION TIME. I DIDNT EVEN REALIZE THAT I WROTE THAT AND I WAS KINDA WONDERING WHY I WAS GETTING HARASSED SO MUCH FOR WHAT I THOUGH I PUT DOWN. I DID A 2.3 60 FT TIME. I FEEL LIKE AN IDIOT

setup was a 96 ek hatch with a jdm gsr swap with just intake. i think i could get it down to a 14.6 or so with a better launch. only got 3 runs in all day so i hope for better next time. tell me what you think. thanks for any help

I have a USDM GSR in my Eg hatch and pull 2.3 - 2.4 60' w/ 9.3 1/8th times....

Never ran the 1/4, but your times sound pretty good as far as the 60 / 1/8th

i was running falken azenis at 23 psi. on that launch i was at 3000 rpm and just kinda feathered the clutch so that i didnt have very much wheel hop. seemed to work out alright.

as for team 4r: i am using the stock cx fuel pump also but it feels like my car pulls pretty hard up top. basically from 6-redline it is pulling pretty strong. i hope you can figure out your problem

yeah wheels hop for me was reallly bad when i was dumping the clutch. the track was pretty sticky so the tires just hopped. so thats when on my last run i feathered it and it hopped a little but helped alot. i am gonna try to feather from 4000 next time and see if i can lower to a 2.2 60ft

Well you did better then me my first time at the track I could only manage 2.5's all day long. I had the same track trap speed as you but I could only manage a 15.1 @93mph. I have a first gen b16a though.

i went to famoso raceway. it was the first time they opened this season so it was really crowded. next time i am hoping to get near a 14.5 or so. do you guys think i can do this with a better 60ft even with 93 mph traps? how much would a nice header help?

i think you'll need some slicks to break that 60ft time you currently have .. thats a pretty good 60ft already, it maybe possible to run a 2.2 . . .

No he won't need slicks to break that 60'. He just needs to learn how to launch better and slip the clutch so he has no wheel hop at all. When I went to the track with my stock 97cx hatch I was able to pull a 2.3 60' and i gauranteee it would have been much better had i had a swap. I would not doubt that he could hit 2.0 or even a 1.9 without slicks, all a matter of knowin how to launch your car.

yeah on the last run of a shitty day i just slipped it from 3 because i was having problems all day with wheel hop and tire spin so i just did it conservatively to make sure i get a halfway decent launch to get a 14. next time im going to try to slip from 4000 and i think that will help alot

I slipped my cx from 4500.

Talk to stealth-95gsr (pretty sure that is his name..if not its close) he used to have a gsr with intake suspension and exhaust he ran a 14.5. I don't remeber what he slipped it from but it was pretty high up there.
