Did obd0 to obd1 conversion, now it wont start.
I tried to search, but the search feature is down.
I just finished the obd0 to obd1 on my 1990 CRX SI with a D16Z6. It started fine right before i converted, and now it wont start. What would cause this? What possibilities could it be?
I have the right ECU and dizzy.
TIA.
edit: if this is in the wrong fourm, please move it for me. thank you.

check the firing order. there could be a lot of things but the firing order stumped me for a while so maybe itll be that easy. on the z6 dizzy it starts on the terminal closest to the firewall

injectors are good... the car used to start up just fine before we tried to wire in the OBD1 distributor & OBD1 ECU... so it probably has to be something there
Firing order is good...double checked it with the helms

double check dizzy wiring, remember on obd0 there are 2 white on obd1 there arent make sure there dont properly.
Make sure youve done everything properly on the ecu side, wheater you use a harness or not double check all wiring.
I used obd0 injectors, it makes no difference really.
ECU sends 12V, hits resistor box lowers to 4.5V which is what obd0 injectors require. If your using obd1 injectors, ecu sends 12 v goes right to the injectors since obd1 injectors use 12v.
good luck! You did add the 02 sensor correct?

yea, i did the four wire o2. I was pretty sure you can use the same injectors as long as your have that resistor box, is my info wrong? i just realized, isn't there a canister that OBD1 is supposed to have, I dont remember what it's called but can someone think of what i'm talking about? and, would that stop it from starting?
thanks again!
thanks again!

Injectors are fine. I would recheck your wiring. Did you use a conversion harness?

did you buy the conversion harness, or did you build one yourself? the one i bought from blown90hatch has wires for me to wire in a switch and with the flick of the switch i could check the cel

or you can stick a pin or a paper clip in that little white plug thingy under the hood and on the right hand side beside the hood prop turn yout car to the on position after you throw your code and stick the paper clip in that plug. then watch your check engine lite in the guage cluster. it will blink just like your red flasher did.then take the pin out of that plug and it will clear the code. it you didnt fix the problem the code will come back up shortly there after.
did the dizzy come from a running car? are you not getting spark? try switching the white wires at the dizzy are you getting fuel? can you smell it when you pulla plug? i went through 3 dizzys from auto zone before i acually got one that worked.

the dizzy came from that same engine, and it worked before. we're not getting spark. we are getting fuel, i can hear the hissing.
should i just keep messing with the dizzy?

Check your wiring of the dizzy. I almost guarentee thats where your problem is. Remember that they're are 2 white wires but one is a bit thicker than the other.

And the thicker of the two wires will connect to the yel/grn wire on the OBD-1/2 dizzy.
But still, not every conversion harness out there lets you just match up the colors. I bought one from boomslang and I went through hell trying to figure it out - I matched up the colors and that was my mistake.

Oh really? so how the hell do you wire up the dizzy then? I have my boomslang instructions right here, and they say..."most of the time you can simply match the colors".
hrrm.

from what ive seen the two white wires on the obd dist. is simply that. ones more faded then the other, but thats the only difference. on the obd1 there is still two white wires, but one has like either a blue or green stripe on it. good luck man.
