Did some basic maint on the teg.
My teg has taken a beating this winter she's at 89K and starting to age. It's been so cold so I haven't done and oil change in 5k. We had a 40 degree day last week so I decided to do a few things. I've noticed when I get on the car I smelt burnt oil, a few months back I had my timing belt and water pump done. Anyway I jack the car up, drain the oil, swap the filters and lower the car. While the hood was opened I opened the valve cover cap to take a look at the plugs and there was oil everywhere. Then I noticed there was oil all around the valve cover as well. Every nut on the valve cover was completely loose. Tightend them and problem solved. The I noticed the ******* who installed my Ice Box did it wrong. First he put the bracket for the bottom tube on backwards and the bottom piece was not connected and wouldn't stay connect and the top air box wasn't sealed. I took the filter out cleaned and recharged and seated it properly and fixed and installed bottom piece. The Ice Box is now very very quiet. My car is not that much louder than stock. I then went to my next fix, the exhaust hangers were disconnected from scraping on ice and snow, fixed them problem solved. Then I reinstalled my 95 ECU with no rev limit and agressive fuel maps. Then I went and filled it up with Ultra 94 and added an octain booster and went for a nice ride. With the octain booster a cold night and 18 degrees of timing advance the car feels great. Made me realize I want to keep this car for a while and still love it. Just thought I would share.

Thanks, plus, I'm a computer guy who knows nothing about actually working on a car. It made me feel like it's a day off accomplishment. Car was a mess with salt and bird sh*t in dire need of an oil change, so I got it all cleaned up, oil changed, wound up fixing a couple things and then then finishing product car feels great.

haha I hear you on all that. I don't know too much about working on my car either, so it's a great feeling when you feel like you've taken care of it somehow on your own. Good shiet man. BTW, what's all done to your ECU? I'm getting a chipped p72 soon and hoping to see some decent results from it.
