THE CORE????
Now i was on DHracing.com and i saw a set of racing heads, and they said core requried now wat is a core, and does that mean that i would have to get a core and if i did where would i get one???
but on the website it says core requried for PNP heads know wat does PNP mean, and does that mean that i would have to send a pair of heads in to get them done or will they give me brand new heads that is PNP or watever that means?? thanks
they need a core either to do your head or tokeep in stock to do another one for stock. and a pair of heads is not needed unluss you are buiding a v engine. 4 cyl use 1 head.

you never know until you learn, but still i was a little amazed by this one.
many companies that provide mechanical services have core fees, a porter may have a surplus of heads lying around so they port and sell them, but many don't so they give you a very small(if any) refund of your purchase price for the original unaltered part, this is true for many auto parts stores that sell remanufactured parts as well. As for PNP, you might want to search on port and polish a bit before shelling out the cash and sending your head (or heads) off, it somewhat complicated and a good porter will ask you about your setup and intended use, you should be prepared with that info so you know kind of performance to expect.
