Perfered Tires for Stock 16" RSX '03 wheels
I am looking for some in-sight into perfered rubber for the stock wheels. Maybe in the future I will change the rims but right now I want the stock "Piolt's off (P205/55R16). Any sugestions (eg. Toyo "Proxes T-1S" ?, Falken "FK-451", Kumho "Ecsta MX")

Get the Falken Azenis tires...sticky and cheap also...But if you like to drive in the rain a lot, you might want something else

So far so good, traction in the rain was great and tires stick pretty good in the dry. Treadwear is also 360.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Azenis on wet roads = near death experiences
Azenis on dry roads = near race rubber traction

ivtecrsx isnt smokin ne thing, you just need to upgrade you knowlege on tire info. azenis st 115's do work great in the rain, and they do pretty good in dry weather. your confused with falken azenis sports. there is a difference!!!

I have the toyo t1-s, and they're great in the dry and the rain!! They are pretty damn light unlike the azenis and potenzas. Only draw back is the price (paid 560 for mine) and they wear out pretty damn quick (13 k so far looks like they'll last me another 10 or so). I have done a few drag events w/ burn outs, launching etc. I still believe I will get about 20-25 k out of these tires... so it all comes down to how much you are willing to pay for good grip.
The azenis and khumo mx's wear out quicker than proxies, and the mx's from what I hear suck in the rain, and whoever compared them to the potenzas was smoking way too much... The azenis are pretty good bang for the buck tire because they do grip really well, but they are on the beefier side just like the potenzas. The mx's are feather weight just like the proxies. in fact, some sizes are even lighter than the t1-s's! Just my 02 cents.

The Kumho Ecsta MX are nice tires but very little tread. I got a decent deal at
http://www.tirerack.com They perform well in the dry and almost as well in the rain. For the price I would recommend them.
