Im doing a 90 teg 2 door gs. I just baught a B20z from a crv. You can even go with a b20b. Not that many things that you have to change. Just have to put the gray plugs and not the clear. But for 750$ its a good boost under your hood.
many people underestimate the potential in the b18b and vtec is wayyy over rated..it depends on what mods you plan to do ithe all motor and if you go get a b20 make sure you go with a vtec head although the plain b20 is fine but its really not worth it unless u go b20/b16 or a vtec head..im in the process of rebuilding my teg for all motor..if you got some plans list them and ill see what would be best.

I did a B16A2 with Civic Type R pistons with minor headwork and that thing hauls ***, beat many a Prelude with that setup. LS motors make really good torque, you should try the Crower Cams, I believe they are the 404s, a lot of people on this forum seem to like the power they make.
i have a 91 ls and i just bought a jdm b18b...although the usdm and jdm are basically the same in this motor..this one only has 35k miels on it and is in tip top shape, all for 1050 shipped to my door step..

Not really, but I do agree with you that the LS motor has a lot of potential. For the price of an engine swap you could build one hell of a turbo setup, or maybe get some headwork done, raise the compression and run all motor. If you do decide to get another engine, please buy mine.
