yes the crank will work in the h22a but you would have to use f22a or h23a1 rods.
although i've never tried to run an f22a crank in an h22a, i know that the crank will spin in there. i've never heard of it being done. you may want to find some people that have used the h23a1 rotating assembly in their h22a... the principles will be the same.

Yes, it is compatible but you will be making a H23VTEC out of it. F22 and H23 cranks are the same. You will have an issue with the oil squirters and your pistons and rods will have to be looked at.
If you use your H22 rods and pistons...I think you will have an issue with compression. I believe it will rise because of the longer stroke. There will be a possibility of hitting the valves.
Basically, you will want to consult the H23 VTEC thread in the Prelude forum. There is a lot more to it than just swapping the cranks.
Good luck.
EDIT: If your H22 is a 98+ H22....then it will not work. The main journal bore is 55mm in the 98+ H22 compared to the 50mm journal bore is the 92-96 and some 97 H22s. That's another thing to consider.

the h23vtec idea uses the f22/h23 crank with h23 rods and h22 pistons...the oil squirters are an optional item...compression will be the same as what is advertised on whatever h22 pistons you use and you won't have a problem with the pistons traveling further than the deck height either...also, remember, using the h23/f22 crank, you should only be revving to what the h23/f22 can handle...in my opinion that's no further than 7000 rpm's...
