the automotive industry is super competetive and very tough its a bust ur *** business and if u dont have strong diagnostic skills i recommend you find a new field my father owns a shop and he busts his *** i wouldnt recomend owning ur own shop
My brother and a friend and I own a import shop in Kansas city MO. Its a business just like any other if you dont work to make money than your aren't making money. The best way to run a business is to focus on the places that bring in the most money and decreasing the places that don't.

it depends...
If you are manufacturing your own products, you have the potential to make it big!!!
If you are just selling products, its how much money you want to invest. Some companies require buy ins, and the more you buy in the deeper your discout becomes. Also depends on location, if you have a bunch of shops 10 miles from each other, than competition if gonna be fierce, not to forget about competing with internet prices.
