Ok, yesterday as I was going to start my car (which had been sitting for three or four days after an 88 mile trip). I turned the key, and it cranked, but doesn't turn over. I know that I'm getting the fuel pump to turn on, as I have a stripped interior, and I can clearly hear it. I know the ECU is good because it gives me the "All Clear" blip when I turn on the key. However, I tried to start the car....
Nothing... Cranks... Nothing again.
It's not the battery, as I had someone try to jump it. (Large truck... nearly overloaded the battery).
I tried to get a plug wire to arc, and I didn't get a spark... so that's got to be the problem. So here's the question, I think it's either the ECU, or the Distributor cap, (Mind you, the engine was damp, and it was cold out all week).
The ECU did however light up, and stay lit after I had cranked the battery into oblivion... I dunno. I'm stumped guys.
Any help would be great... I need my car to get home, without it, I'm SOL. Anyway, here's what I'm gonna try until I can get some help...
#1, try my PM6 ECU... maybe it'll turn over the B16.
#2, buying new cap as we speak.

I would guess the ignitor if all looks good inside the cap..
Of course, make sure the cams are turning...if not timing belt is broke..
If you have an ignitor from a d15 or d16 you might try swapping them out.

Sounds like the same problem i had when i first got my B16. WEll i tired replacing all of my internals of my dizzy, but for some reason that didn't work. A new cap didn't even help, so then i just swapped the dizzy with my old engine i was replacing the b16 with (HF dizzy), and now it works like a charm. I wasn't getting spark, and a new ignitor/cap/rotor didn't fix it, the whole dizzy had to be replaced. Good Luck

Well.... it was nothing. I think I had a cracked distributor cap. It let moisture in. As soon as I tried to fire my car up today, it turned right over. WEIRD. But oh well... such is a honda.
