Is there any cons to just removing the header heatsheilds with the stock headers staying on?

 

why would you want to?

I am trying to get at my Oxygen sensor and I am also picking up some headers tomorrow, but will anything happen if I take off the heatsheild? any cons??

 

You shouldn't have anything to worry about. Most headers don't use heatshields anyway.

only con is that stock headers look like ***.

 

i think it will also be a lil hotter

 

why would you need to take the heatshield off to get to the oxygen sensor? anyway if youre replacing the header tmorrow anyway what would be the difference in having it off the stock on anyway.
