Hey all... Okay well here is the deal. I put it in my car this morning. It reads rpms fine, speedometer is fine, gas meter is fine and so is thermostat. It lights up fine. I took it out for a drive and the odometer isnt rolling. Is this supposed to happen? If not, what could be the problem?

How can I fix this? Thanks.

Has the cluster been taken apart? Sounds like it might be broken. That usually happens when people try to roll back the miles and don't succeed.

if you want to take it apart go ahead and look behind the odo and see if the gears are touching and that the tab around the rod isnt broken

 

i had similar situations but mine was moving but 2nd digit i could tell it was changed....numbers were all scratched up..

 

i dont know about 96+ clusters, but on my 93 i swap in an ex cluster and i used my old speedometer from my dx cluster. maybe thatll help
