hey im wondering what websites are a good step by step to puttin a b16a in a 89 si crx.. i bought the motor cable tranny shift linkage and motor mounts and he said a plug and play wiring harness so i will have to do no wiring . i dont know if this is true because i havent received the package yet. and he claims the axles and halfshafts will fit too. but just in case i run into problems i want a website i can go to see what the heck im doing.. any info would be great guys
u need to throw on the motor a si/hf harness and run 4 wires for the vtec goodies, its cake, try using the search function. Also u need a mount system, go HASPORT imo, u cant go wrong.

you MUST use the Si engine harness - HF harness is not interchangeable with Si

Heh I have a question for you my buddy has a 89 Si and he wanted to dump so much moeny in pistons rods and head work I just said to get a swap. So we found this JDM b16a with everything you need inclusind a/c but do you know if he can use the a/c compressor in the CRX will it fit?
JDM A/C only works if you get custom A/C lines made. And if you use the US market one you need custom mount bracket. Take my word on it, I am almost finished with the same swap.

i have a si so i would use the si harness right? the company im getting the b16 from said i wont have to wire anything because the wiring thats coming with the motor is gonna be prewired
believe me you can repin a SiR engine harness to work, but its a hell of a lot of work, and you still need a good harness to match it to, and if you have that whats the point.
Take my word on it. I have been working on doing just that. It ain't easy.

here are the wire locations and functions for the HF and Si engine harnesses where they plug into the firewall - they are not the same and are not interchangeable
my site has a lot of info on the swap. http://www.geocities.com/droppedcrxsi

to make your life eaiser and to have the job done right you should bring you car to payn tech in troy michigan and have him do your swap do the timming belt water pump and put hondata on the car and he can do a dyno tune for you right there on the spot and then your car well be all set just like it came from the factory with that motor he does really good work and it will be done right the first time.

i know it is not a B16 but this is some of his work on a JR supercharger. but a really clean engin bay.
