The Mugen program will cause the engine to run rich as it's designed for an engine that moves a lot more air than a stock B18C1. Your gas milage will suffer, but there won't be any serious effects. I suggest finding a stock ECU until you get some more serious modifications done.

fuckn stupid and a waste of money. no over the counter chip will do as good as a nice dyno session will do you. and since mugen ECU are made for Mugen motor unless you hav ethere set up then its stupid and a waste of money not only on the chip but on gass to

well i actually got this P28 ecu FREE! included in a trade. the guy that had it before was using it in his b18c1 rex. He claimed it pulled hard. My question now is will this harm my motor in anyway?

don't take this as fact, as I'm not a C1 builder/tuner...

but I'm sure your low end will suffer with the stock manifold because your IAB- Intake Air Butterflies will stay open....

Without the GSR ecu, which closes the butterflies for better low end, it will suffer.

Top end should pull good.

I'd sell the ecu if I were you. All it does is advance some timing and add fuel. Running rich all motor isn't helping power....

If you plan on switching out your stock intake manifold w/ a skunk2 or jg, then i'd recommend my custom all motor. the guy who dynoed my gsr posted a dyno sheet comparing my custom all motor program vs the stock gsr program. PM me if you want more info

-thanks

not ripping your thread or anything but when you get a IM say a Skunk 2 should you get a custom ecu and would this be true on a d motor as well.

skunk2 or jg intake manifold because on the gsr (b18c1) head, the stock manifold has secondaries....chipped p28 programs arent made to read these secondaries, thus, not getting the full advantages of the chipped ecu. You will still notice a difference, but not as much as you would if you were to run a single stage manifold....for the d series, you dont have to run a custom program, any program should work pretty well, but there are some ecu tuners out there that can help you make purely custom programs according to your mods.
