Default I need a d16z6 crank please help

what up honda peeps, I'm new in here but been reading and watching you guys post for some time and all the info's been helping me out alot, but a month ago my turbo zc sohc vtec 1.6l blew a head gasket and at that time I decided to rebuild the motor, but ran into a problem...while trying to take off my flywheel two bolts got a lil strip and I took it to a friend who builds motors and he said he tried everything possible and can not removed the bolts. He told me the crank is gone beacause of that, so this is holding up my project. I picked up another d16z6 block for smog reasons and was gonna transfer the zc crank to it, but now I need to know if I can use any other crank from a d-series. There's a d16a6 crank on ebay right now and is ending soon so any info will help, Thanks.

you have to get a crank specific for that motor.. I did some homework and accidently purchased another crank for another motor and it didnt work.. so please get a D16z6 crank

D16A6 crank will work. It is of the same dimensions as the Z6. I have compared the 2 and have used a A6 in a Z6 with Z6 internals.

Drill a hole in the bolts and use easy outs. OR.....grind off the head, slid the flywheel off, and go from there.

yeah..I saved the flywheel by cutting off the bolt head, but the guy building my block said that its not a good idea to mess with thredding of the crank shaft since its a rotating assembly, like trying to drill and tap. So..I guess another d16 crank it is, damit everytime you think you got everything setup right some **** always gots ta happen.

it's fine if you get the threads out. Once pressure is relieved off the head of the bolt, the rest should just spin right out with very little force.

I just bought a d16z6 crank because various people on this board said it would fit my y7. It doesn't. So now I have a z6 crank without a home. If you want it im me or email me.

Just out of curiosity I checked hondaautomotiveparts.com to see how much a crank would run.
$699.31 yikes!
