Default What could i get?

Alright, i really want to get a bike this spring/summer, but i would have a planned budget of about 2000-2500 dollars. What i was wondering was-what would be the best overall bike to buy with that amount of money? I was looking at like a late 80's-early 90's suzuki gsxr 1100, and maybe an F3 (that would prolly be over budget). The bike could be a little rashed up, thats no biggy.

I don't need the fastest bike in the world, but i still want something that I wouldn't get bored with and still be able to hang with some of the newer bikes. Thanks for any help!

Goto http://www.cycletrader.com put that price range in and look up bikes by manufacturer and you decide what you want to get.

Is this a first bike?

The 1100 is a good motor - of course air cooled means they run real toasty when it's hot.

You won't go wrong with a good F2/3 though.

yeah i have been doing that-but i want some opinions from people that have ridden/seen/heard about a bike for my budget. Just basically the best bike for the budget (2000-2500) because on cycletrader every ad says "this bike is the best", so i need some real opinions.

It's all a personal preference thing, if I had that money, I would go for an F2-F3 or SV650 if I could find one for that price.

I bet you could find a 99 SV650 in that price range, or possible an EX500

In that price range you could snag a FZR600, probably mid 90's, or a an early 90's CBR either F2 or the older Hurricane (which is mega cool).

This would make a really sweet bike: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...50003

or one like it, that one is a bit pricey.

Cheers,
Sean

Buy an F2. I had one that had a pipe, jetted, and had a K&N. The bike dynoed as much as the new F4is at the wheel. I loved that bike and only paid 2500 for it with 8k miles.
