Default Pads on 4 piston calipers

What is the tool that I need to resetting the 4 pistons back in place when replacing the brake pads? Whats it called or look like? How does people with Spoon calipers replace their pads? Forcing it back by hand manually? Any pics will be v.nice..

That secret tool is the end of a ratchet! or screw driver... you can do it with your fingers if your strong enough, just push one side of the the pistons in, place the pad in, then same thing on the other side..thats the way i do it on my spoon calipers atleast.

When I did the stock caliper with my bare hands it was a real bitch. I had to use my whole bodyweight to pull them back! I could have dragged the whole car with me.....and that was just 1 piston, so I thought with 4 pistons I thought it would be even harder..

Thk - Is that a tool specifically for 4 pistons or just any caliper in general?

why don't you try a C-clamp and place the old pad between that and the piston. that's what i do on my stock, i dont see why it wouldn't work with 2 pistons

I was able to push them back in with my hands. I'm not a superweight either so most people should be capable of doing this.

stick a screw driver between the pads and the rotors and push it back in.

That's nice and it works for sliding calipers.

How do you suggest to use that with a fixed four piston caliper?
