would i see a gain with B16A cams in my LS?
does anyone know if the gain would be significant for this setup? all it has done is intake and exhaust. would there be any danger in taking it to the redline regularily (is the stock LS valvetrain good enough?)
thanks

lol yes i am. sorry i guess it was a long week.....
i just remembered i had these cams laying around and thought i'd give them to my bro (its his LS) but i forgot about that small VTEC detail

im not sure what exactly would happen, but you can't use vtec cams in a non-vtec head. and ls rods would not make it to a b16's redline....this is why people have tobuild their ls/vtec motors, slapping a b16 head on a stock ls block and revving it to 8g's isn't going happen.
whoops...already to late

i wasnt talking about revving to a B16 redline, i was referring to the LS redline. i was concerned that if there was higher lift/duration that the springs may not be sufficient enough to close the valves in time before the piston came back up.
