All Hondas take the same oil filter just about. Just get a 88-00 Civic one. Don't buy Fram, their filters are crap. Get the S2000 filter from the honda dealer.

Thats funny since I paid $8 for mine. And most people say they only pay about $5 for theirs.

My local honda dealers get about $12-15 for S2K filters, and $5-7 for the others.
Just my .02 cents.

My s2000 cost me $8 like 4thgen, and I also agree with him, dont get the newer honda filters (made by fram) get the ones made by Toyo Roki (only the s2000, and who used to make all the older filters) fram sucks *****.

Yesterday I changed the oil on my Dad's CRV. We used the Honeywell filter (parent company of Fram) and it didn't seem that bad. Granted I couldn't see inside but it looked very much like the Toyota ones I use at work. I'm sure Honeywell makes them to Honda's spec. But since oil changes cost me maybe $10 spending as much as $8 on a filter doesn't mean a whole lot. I just gotta buy oil and thats it.

I guess the Canadian price is 20-30 heh If its only 8-12 then get the S2K filter.... Even the plastic wrap on it is better! ahahhaa

Toyo Roki is the maker of the HAMP filters I believe....

I just found and bought a case of NOS, of the big blue PT7 honda filters.
Cost me about $120 for the whole case.
