Default D15bvtec?

Are the pistons for a d15bvtec and vx the same cause I was told that they are different and if they are different where would I be able to get a set of new pistons for the d15b? Also if I just put the d15b head on a 1.6 block how much of a difference would there be over the 1.5?

I believe they are the same pistons as the d16z6...

The d15b's pistons are the same as d16z6? Need to know for sure cause I'm gonna be picking up a d1bvtec block that needs new pistons for $50. Don't wanna find out that there just available in japan or something.

Yes. The vx motor is actually 1.5 vtec-e also. So it will all fit. The bore is all the same size on all SOHC motors.

I've also heard that the rods are stronger than the vx's and slightly longer but shorter than the z6's but uses the z6 slugs so now I feel better. $200 d15bvtec here I come!

putting a d15b head on a z6 block would make close to 145 horse at the flywheel , the d15b cam is beastly but i think you need to use an adjustable cam gear on the z6 with that cam.
