I thought the 89-91 seats all had the same bracket and the 88 was the odd ball??? If this is the case it should be a direct bolt in affair. Can someone clarify?

Nope CRX seats do not bolt into a Hatch different bolt pattern I have CRX seats in my Hatch and this is what I did.
Go to home depot get some steel bars measure the length from the CRX seats mounting holes to the Hatch florr mounting holes then cut the bar measure how far apart are the mounting holes on both the CRX seats and the Hatch mounting holes.
Drill holes into the bar and instead of drilling into the floor of ur car just have attachments that will reach from the seat to the floor mounting holes.
And that's it.

Huh...
How sturdy is that? It seems like that would put a lot of tension on the mounting points when the seat was pushed back and forth by your body.
did that increase the height of the seat at all? I'll look into this.
Thanks
