Default Spoon LSD installed

Hi, everyone, I am new to honda-tech and I have a 02, RSX-S

Here's my question, I just got the Spoon 1.5 way LSD installed in the tranny, along with Toda flywheel and 4.7 final drive. Does the LSD requires break in period? If it does, how to break it in?

I know I shouldn't post in this forum but those guys at RSX forum doesn't know any shxt.

Thanks

I've never heard of one needing a break in period, but if you want to be safe you can just drive normally (no auto-x, or thrashing on it) for 500 miles.

But my guess is no, doesn't need a break in period.

Side note- I've got the OE LSD, and it's a good thing otherwise, with all this snow we've been getting, I'd be stuck.

...bad information.

Clutch-pack lsd's do require breaking in. Gererally, you find a deserted parking lot and drive a figure-8 for 20-30 minutes or so in 2nd or 3rd gear. Go home, flush the tranny fluid and you're good to go.

Kaaz FAQ

Go to the link for info. I could be mistaken but I believe that the Spoon LSD is the same as the Kaaz.

I break my KAAZ LSD in at 4am on a empty parking lot. It wasn't fun at all.
