hey. I might be selling a tranny to a HT memebr out of state. Who here has shipped a tranny? How did you pack it up and who did you use? UPS, Freight Co., or FEDEX???? Any help or input is needed ASAP !!
I shipped a tranny using Purolator
they said it MUST be in a box
So I got a cardboard box and and lay a wood base and then put the tranny. Then I taped the **** out of the box with box tape then wrote "this side up" (so they don't flip it over and drop the tranny out.

Just call your local freight Co. and they will be able to tell you what is required for shipping the tranny. Normally when I ship them I just secure them the a pallet using plumbers tape and that meets the requirement for my freight co.
