IM LOOKING FOR A TEST PIPE FOR MY 96 LS. I CAN HAVE ONE MAD AT A LOCAL MUFFLER SHOP. BUT WHAT DO I DO ABOUT THE O2 SENSOR? FORGIVE ME FOR BEGING KINDA OF STUPID ON THE MATTER. I HAVE A ONLY BUILT SPORT TRUCKS AND THIS IS MY FIRST IMPORT. AND IM ALREADY LOVING IT!!!!

OK...CHANGED THE NAME....SO WILL IT THROW A CODE IF I PUT A TEST PIPE?

 

lol, im not sure on that one...id think so if the 02 sensor was...gone??? then again if u had the 02 sensor it would pick up on there being NO CAT, so...i really have not a clue.

 

you havent considered a high flow cat--?

so a high flow cat will be about the same as a test pipe correct? thanks for the help

keep the first sensor and buy a o2 simulator for the second...when i was obd2 i just took it out and left it plugged and it never gave me a cel for the 5k miles i drove, but maybe that was just luck
