well i've usually always initially used my cross member as a jacking point but now that i have a place racing one....i can't even get the jack under my damn car to do anything...

so where do you find a cheap low-profile type jack? my car is only dropped about 1.5" so its no super low but still...

My harbor freight aluminum "RACING" jack was about 150, and its all aluminum, super light, and looks cool. It also jacks teh car up in like 6 pumps. ANd gets it pretty high too. It even fits under my buddys slammed civic ex, and my crx is dropped 1.5" and it easily makes it. Its only about 2 inches tall when all teh way down, so it can clear about anything.

I just start off with the stock one, then switch to the hydraulic once I get it high enough

put a piece of wood under each tire then drive up on them and you'll be able to use your jack you have now....but a harbour freight racing jack is much cooler

Can your jack fit under the jacking points on the sides of the car? If not I would recommend a racing jack, Harbor freight is cheap but I think I am going to get the Craftsman aluminum jack.
