My friends Distributor keeps failing ( filling up with oil ) we changed
it out for another one and the same problem. Could there be something
else contributing to this besides a bad seal inside of the distributer? I find
it hard to believe that this is the 2nd bad leaky distributor. If anyone has
any info or could help me i would apreciet it.

 

Sounds like the seal between the cam and the head is bad and it hasn't been fixed yet. Oil will go straight from the head into the distributor along the length of a rotating cam if the bond betwen the caps isn't good.

 

the seal on the head is shot pull out the dist. and the valve cover off and replace the seal and use a good engine sealent it will take car of the problem as long as there is no damage done on the head
