forget that. he ripped me off big time.
sold me a gsr shortblock that he said had had type-r pistons as well. Well after a lot of crap, i finally get this block. Well two motor mount holes are stripped, the other has a bolt broken off in it!!. No flywheel, no lower timing belt cover and no itr pistons!!
i call him and he says that he's sorry about the pistons and **** and he'll send them all out to me, then tells me that he had told me about the mount holes!! Never had he said anything about them, but i just say **** it, send me the parts you owe me and I'll forget about it. So a long time goes by, nothing shows up. I call him back, takes me about a week to finally get a hold of him. He then tells me that if I want the flywheel I need to pay shipping for it and that he doesn't have any lower timing belt covers so I'm out of luck. Then he tells me that he'll just send me a $100 check for the pistons. So now I'm like really pissed off, but again I just say whatever you can't argue with this guy, he just makes up lies. Well that was about 2 months ago and I still don't have a check yet. He won't respond to e-mails and won't call me.
In my opinion he is just a con man. I've never had so much trouble with one shop, ever! Worst thing is I'm not in california so I can't just drive there and get my money from him.

I would honestly tell you to go somewhere else.
oh, that was a REALLY short version of what went down also, he screwed up a lot more then that...

well, my experience was a good one. i ordered a jdm b16 from him. i haven't driven it yet, but the motor did crank up and it was in good shape too. he sent me everything i needed. i think that every company will have somebody that was dissatisfied. so you can't judge by just the good or just the bad. all i know is that mine got here okay.

No, I remember that guys story, he's talking about the Honda Motors online guy. I'll second that Sheng is a really cool guy to deal with. I always get great service when I deal with him and he has good prices. The engine that I bought from him was in really good shape too.

i dunno....JDM parts is good from what i have heard, but everytime i've talked to them, they seem veeeeeery cocky. doesn't really speak of their engines, but their attitudes threw me off for a curve. i don't want to deal with them just cuz of that. also, honda motors online is the only place i know of that actually sends the engines with all sensors intact and working....a big plus in my book.

well, again, there's no reason to argue here, but the b16a longblock he sent my friend with a b16a distributor was really messed up. The distributor cap was unusable it was so cracked. The b18c he sent me had two broken sensors on the back of the block (one being the knock sensor) that looked like they had been glued back on or something heh.
Maybe he started doing good business after we complained so much or something. but about 5 months ago his service and products sucked. But like I said, maybe that's all changed...

Steve's a good man. I ordered a complete B18C from him, and a lot of other things. He'll take care of you, no worries on that.

i just bought a 97 USDM B18C from steve. reasonably price & whatnot, but it arrived yesterday with a couple of problems.

one of the nuts for the spark plug cover is missing. also, the intermediate shaft he shipped with the engine is really rusty, and is missing the scir clip on the engine side. i can take some pictures if you want me to. the seal shield at the end is also bent, im HOPING happened during shipping. given this, it'll more than likely leak.

also, i found miscellaneous nuts and bolts just lying in the crevices of the intake manifold where it meets the engine. im also missing the half of the wiring harness that goes into the car. he also didnt give me a cat, but it's totally cool since he told me ahead of time that he didnt have one. no biggie. the valve cover's a little scratched up, which im sure happened during shipping. nothing that can't be fixed.

he also said it would come with papers.. i found none. i'm gonna call him tomorrow afternoon and talk to him about it. i'll let you know what he says. don't jump to any conclusions about my post; im not trying to slander the guy & his business. this is just what has happened thus far. great references, and easy to deal with. i suggest you buy from this guy.

i'll let you know what's up after i call him.
peace

I got my B16 Sir 2 from hondamotorsonline. I found the drivers side mount was missing a bolt. That about it. Misc bolts from the valve cover were missing. After a few calls after they got my check I called to check on the status. He says the shipping company was responsible for the untrackable motor. Its there fault since they have control once it leaves the shop. Sounds like sh*t. Anyway I got my motor no problems..

oh, heh, i forgot to add that when I tore down the gsr shortblock last weekend to get ready for the sleeves, i found about 4-5 bolts in the OIL PAN!!
I don't know where they came from or how they got there.
I guess shipping did that too eh?....

Okay let me begin. I have started doing business with Steve since the middle of March. A small list of things I have ordered from him:

EG6 Cluster
EG6 Climate control
EG6 Amber clock
EG6 JDM VIN plate
GSR Booster Cylinder
GSR Master Cylinder.

My buddy also ordered a JDM B16
My buddy in Oregon ordered a JDM H22
and a ton of other people who i reffered to steve have ordered.

I have not had 1 problem. Everyone I know that has ever gotten anything has always been pleased.

Steve is an Honest guy. He deals in used pieces so if there should be something wrong with it, he will have no problem getting you up and running. All his motors come with a Start up warranty, he will make sure that everything goes smooth.

The JDM B16 my friend bought arrived in near perfect condition!!! I mean this thing was spotless. My cousin ordered a JDM motor from another company (this was before I knew steve) and is burning oil. Not to mention that motor from another company was really beat up and he had to wait 4+ months for it to arrive. Steve ships stuff in a reasonable ammount of time and his equipment is clean as hell. Matter of fact I cannot say enough good things about him and his online business.

I dont even know the guy and he continues to take care of me as if I were his next door neighbor. That right there makes me an HMO customer for life.

I am not being paid to write this. this is strictly voluntary and are words from my own mouth. If I find a good reputable shop (which are hard to come by) I want everybody to know who is in the market. I hate theives and I hate seeing people get ripped off. The last thing I want to add is this. If you think JDM honda parts has good prices, you had better atleast call Steve, I will bet <key words> that Steve can atleast meet or BEAT the price

Good luck with your purchase, I know you'll be pleased
