Default Is The Vandalized ITR PY 00' at the Subaru dealership in Fl worth repairing?

This is the e-mail I got from the dealership in FL that had the type R i was interested in. (the one that got stripped)

QUOTE] Hi Tony, we are going to sell the Type R as-is for $11,000 plus tax, tag & title fees[/QUOTE]

Now mind you, the following things were taken from the car.

Type R shift ****
Passenger Type R seat/with seat mounting
Driver Type R seat/with seat mounting
the Stock rims, with tires
Type R emblem in front
Type R emblem in back
passenger side window is busted out.

Now the original asking price for this baby was around 16,8 or maybe 17 with tax tag and title.

So is this worth all the work, because I'm thinking, the cost to fix this is going to be well over 5 grand. Let me know what you think.

Also the rotors may have been damaged due to the drop after they stripped it.

Keep in mind that they will likely get their insurance money out of it, so you could probably negotiate a better price. Are they going to put any wheels/tires on it at all, or just expect you to drag it off the lot?

haha if you think its gonna take 5 grand to fix it, please do not buy it. let someone who can fix it quick, like me or v-attack for example, have it. cuz i can have it running on the street for no more than the price of 2 ITR rims. working at a body shop, and having 2 millenia rims, and parts integra parts is nice

If it's still got a clear title, then I'd definately do it. You can get some rota's and some Sparco's fairly cheap.

I see your point. I rode around with Civic seats in my ITR for three months once.

take it for no more the 10k with clean title, that would be a good deal.

And as for repairs.. very cheap as long as the motor/tranny & body are fine.

What dealership is this at??

If the title is clean and it's got normal mileage, I'd try to pick it up for around $10k. You'd easily be able to source out seats, rims and tires for cheap.

the car is at mastro subaru in Tampa. My buddy bought it from them a few months ago, but didn't really know what he was getting into with a type r, so took it b ack. I worked on it a couple of times and put on the springs. The car ran strong. I wouldn't pay that much though.

If you are interested- I am selling most of my interior (shameless plug)

<--- still has civic seats in his ITR..

as for this car, i don't think i'd give them over 10 for it, given it's colorful history and other minor problems that have been reported here.. but, for 10k, that's a nice deal on that new of an R..

Does anyone have any pics of this thing w/ the Civic shocks?

I read the other thread and it sounds like it was looking like a 4x4 and I'd just like to take a look for myself
