Default Good carbon fibre hoods?

Who makes a good carbon fibre hood out there? I had a gude hood at one time and never used it because it was junk. I need a SiR style that will work with the US headlights. My hood was just obliterated. Some jealous ******* pulled my hood pins when I was at WAL-MART today. Needless to say my car is in some sad shape now. Back to cruising in the Guttlas Supreme for me.

Price insn't as much of an issue as quality is. I've heard of fiberimages.com but their web site dosen't seem to want to work right now and I haven't heard anything about their quality.

Fiber Images hoods are great quality. Awesome hoods for the money. I think my GSR is going to get one when I get rich.

They say they are from Fiber Images. Maybe I will try and email FI to verify that.

Ok, I checked out Fiber Images list of authorized dealers. This guys shop on GroupBuy.com is not on that list. So I am going to question his authenticity. I emailed FI to see what they say. I will post the reponse.

My Fibre Images hood looks really nice. Of course it is still sitting in my dining room and not on my car, but that is another story

The fiberimages logo is located on the top of the hood in the very center near the windshield. 'Fiber Images' is etched into the hood.

I've heard good thinks about NW Bodykits cf hoods. they used to have the SiR style for USDM front ends, but I recently heard that they stopped making them for some reason...

I used to have fiberimage's hood...pretty decent for it's price. However, it never seem to fit right (so is many other hoods) and also they use 50/50 (50% carbon fiber and 50% fiberglass)...meaning more weight and much weaker than the rear f-1 spec carbon. Me and my buddy started a new company where we gonna make f-1 spec hoods (3-5lbs and most importantly...stronger than any us market hoods). We have some finish product on some other stuff but we will most likely produce hoods in the early spring next year...so contact me @ KOSBODY@YAHOO.COM if you guys are interested..

Am I the only one here that think unpainted CF hoods look stupid?

Yep

I think if you want a light weight hood, and you want paint it, just get fiberglass.

I'm not going to argue with that..but CF is more sturdy as well (and you don't have to paint the underside)
