There web site list a race for last November. Who do you contact about the rules? I would assume they are going to be running NHRA spec drag racing rules. Just dont want to get there and make one pass and be told to leave.

 

The website isn't updated with the Shreveport specifics yet. It'll be completed by this weekend, but the rules are the same for this event. It should be ok to run without a cage since this isn't an NHRA sanctioned event. I'll make sure with Red River Raceway first though. Calling them today...

What FWD cars plan on competing in the Quick 8? ....some of the s. louisiana racers are wondering what kind of times it'll take to win.

 

I doubt anyone big will come since its a week after the Inagural NHRA Sport Compact event.

There is a remote possibility I might go... at least I would like too.. only problem is my company may go on strike the following week and I need to hang on to my nickles and dimes just in case.

Yes - no slicks allowed though - limited to DOT approved.

I have already been to several Import Face Off events and it seems like everytime it just keeps getting bigger and bigger. I have been to every IFO events thrown in the Baton Rouge area and I am glad to see that it will be a little bit closer to home this year. I am from Dallas/Ft.Worth area and I know for a fact that its not an exciting drive to Baton Rouge but let me tell you that EVERY ONE OF THE IFO EVENTS WERE WELL WORTH IT. Honestly, I found it hard to believe that there was even that big of an Import scene in the Louisiana area (no offense guys), but let me tell you these events are NO JOKE. The turnouts are amazing...Im guessing because of the unbelievably REASONABLE PRICES on show entry, drag entry, and spectator fees. If you have never attended one of these events IT IS DEFINATELY SOMETHING YOU WANT TO CONSIDER...I KNOW FOR SURE I WILL BE THERE!!! .

Be awesome for some HT'ers to show up in the area. This is the closest track to me (About 30 min away), I've been there quite a few times, never to a big event like this tho'.

Fastest FWD out there that *I* know of is prolly gonna be a mid to low 12 Sec hatch from Tyler. Most of my buddies from my area (Texarkana) are gonna be running 14's. Doubt we'll compete.
