Default Need some advice.. ran my car with new mods

Finally got my my **** to the sacraceway opening day last night (wed. night) and im loving the LSD/flywheel/clutch... but are my times showing it??

but burning out is a whole nother w0rld with LSD, let me tell you, i wish i had tires to waste, cuz if i could get my tires hot, i prolly bring my time down, but what do you guys think

i got 6 runs in, the first 3 runs i was waitin on my homie to get there so i could unload some weight, so the first 3 runs i had my sub, randomn bs in the trunk ALL of my school books and some ohter randomn ****, we wont go into those times lol

track was really cold the whole night, i tried to light em up, but i dont wanna go thru tires that fast

but FULL INTERIOR (minus spare tire) (and minus that header that is in my sig, i have yet to get)

RT - 1.0 (it was shitty all day long, not use to the new clutch/flywheel, HELLLA different from stock)
60ft - 2.310
1/8 mile - 9.875
1/4 mile - 15.278
mph - 89.482

my best R/T for last night was a .881, use to get that consistantly or .6XX oh well

need a big brake upgrade next ASAP ... cant downshift with 9lb flywheel

btw - ill try to make sense of this, for an intake, you guys know that U pipe that connects to the resonator? and the intake box? well half way (middle of the U) i cut it in half, so for e.g. where the AEM CAI filter is at, its just OPEN right there going str8 up to the airbox like it normally would with a filter .. does that make sense?? ill try to have pix of it tomorrow

btw - this all in a 00civic si... also,

thats the sig i use on other forums, so thats the sig i refer to, so that list my mods, but i dont have that header yet, part of my lil "stage one" (yah sounds corny, but i am ) i just ran low on funds

EDIT: im an all motor guy, that is why i posted here, hope mod doesnt own my thread

Hold it @ 7k, Slip the clutch.

Better 60's will yield better 1/4 times.

R/T does not effect your 1/4 mile time.

Why can't you downshift w/ a 9lb fly? My girl does it w/a 8lbs fly no problems..

with my setup.. 7k??? ill try it out..

also, about teh flywheel, when u downshift, its soo much lighter that the revs go up WAY QUICKER, so after i finish the ¼mile, i cant really rely on downshifting to help slow down, my brakes are startin to go... but yeah anyway

7k?? ill give a shot next time im up there

anyone think with my current setup, i can yeild better than a 2.3 60ft and a 15.2 ¼mile?

? how are you downshifting? a light flywheel will help your engine break itself, because of less inertia. i can come to a stop without touching my brakes

Bring the pressure down to 20 (if not less) and slip the clutch at 5-6k and you will cut 2.2 60 fts and most likley net a 14 second ET.

this is with a B16 rite? my buddy ran a 15.1 with his 99'Si by gutting the rearseats and cutting the A/C & P/S belts. Other than that all he has is 2.25 tubing and a noname muffler.

Just keep at it,and try to get some drag radials,or slicks

with an 18lb stock flywheel, your more likely to slow the car down a whole lot faster vs. a 9lb flywheel, the revs just shoot up and dont slow the car, for example cruzing and letting off the gas, the car doesnt slow down anywhere NEAR as fast as it would with an 18lb flywheel, thats all that im getting

as for the rest, thanks for hte suggestions, sounds like i should be able to kiss a 14 even with this set up??

btw, i got pictures of my lil "custom comptech icebox" hehe, ill try to host those tomorrow

i've also been thinkin about gutting it, but i have no where to store the stuff, and my dad doesnt like the fact that i already have some parts layin around in the garage
