NEED EVERYONES. honest opinion about painting a R
Well I bought a Theift recovery R to build up after my R was stolen last year...
I litereally bought a shell so the car is already 3/4 stripped. The car is originally Yellow but spray painted black (i guess they didnt want peple to see a yellow car when they where stripping it, so it would be as obvious)
So i need to repaint the car... I really wanna spray it Championship white since its my favourite colour but the guy whos helping me build it is trying to convince me to do a crazy colour that is rare like a Metali S4 blues, etc.....
Whats your input on this..
If you could paint a R ANY COLOUR YOU WANT... a complete 100% paint job down to painting under the subframe... what colout would you do???
Stick with a OEM R colour or do something that sticks out???

And as long as YOU like the color, who cares.

It also depends upon how good of a paint job is done. A complete frame-off paint job won't decrease the value as much as just painting the visible exterior, but at the same time it will cost a lot more. I've had thoughts about painting mine deep blue.

I wouldn't repaint an ITR just for the sake of having a different colour, but if I were in your situation (with a car that's already stripped and will be repainted anyway) I'd almost certainly paint it Milano Red.
I'd stick to stock Type R colors, but that's just me I suppose... Don't wanna be mistaken for a poser...
But do what you are comfortable with... that's the best advice.
Don't be pressured to go with a crazy color if you yourself don't want to... and don't stop yourself from going with a crazy color if that's what you really want either...

Well C-Dub def OWNZ!
but Still Milano Red is kinda R Color!I dig Milano Red.(would be hoping it dosen't fade)
Thats what I would do----it would be between Red and CW though.
thats just my 2 choices.....maybe Silver
Theft Factor might be an issue you may consider in your choice of colors seeing as how 1 was already stolen from you.

Can't that black spray be cleaned off ?
If not... then paint it what ever color you like- it is your car and you are going to have to deal with it.
Myself... I might pick a dark grey/ charcoal grey like my old corolla, it was low key, hid the dirt well when I did not get a chance to clean it and it had a great shine.
Low key might be the solution to keeping this R for a long time...

I would paint it a color you can only get in JDM. I am and always will be in love with Milano Red R's

I agree, if I was in the market for an R, it would have to be in the same color it originally came as.

For my opinion i would go with one of the original colors my choice would be the FPB color but thats my opion. Its honestly up to you we can put in advice of what we want but its your R and like others stated you are gonna have to live with it everyday.
