Default clutch not relasing after replacing trans

I replaced the trans in my 89 si, and put in a new exedy oem replacement clutch at th same time. I got the trans bolted in this afternoon and hooked up the clutch cable only to find that the pedal is super light. It feels like the throwout bearing is not even comming up agains the pressure plate. I put in the TO bearing onto the trnas a few weeks ago, and I know its in there, but is there any chance that it could have gone in backwards? Is there anything i can do with the trans in to troubleshoot or do I have to bite the bullet and drop the trans again? Any ideas as to what might be the problem? The new trans I bought used and was supposed to be from a 90si and looks the same as the one that came out. Thanks

If adjusting the cable doesn't fix it, you have to drop the tranny to see what happend. A bunch of things could be causing it, the only way to find out is to open it.

$100 says its the throw out bearing. I just went throught this with a ZC swap. The center of the clutch disc was different from the origonal, and the throw out bearing was being stopped from going all the way out. Gotta take it apart again. Let me know!
