I voted for Metzeler Sportec M-1 Supersport. They grip nice and a good price too. For the track, I want to try some pilots.

Edit: nice Avatar, stunnaz

If you're stuntin ur bike since the accident, u know the answer...
pilot sport front, and crap in the back. If you're doing it for racing on track, thats a diff story...

I'm not a good candidate for choosing tires, but so far the stock d208's on the 03-04 R6's suits me well for riding on the street and occasional twist of the writs on the freeway.

race compound sucks for the street. takeoffs are even worse. Now if you don't need the traction then great but you realize you're using completely defunct tires. If they meet your needs then great, you save a buck and I get money towards more skins. Btw, I have a set of dunlop 208gps and a set of pirelly dragon supercorsas for sale. Both sets 120/70/17 180/55/17. The 208s are in great condition, 3 laps total one hot. One cycle if you count that. The dragons have seen 12 laps, one heat cycle as well.

I have the Dunlop 207RRs and like them. Picked up two sets a couple months back when Cycle Gear had them on sale for $139.99 a set

You ever go to the bike night in front of the old movie theatre? I met a couple guys up there when I was living in Ocala, Snaps and Clay, and Trevor . . .

I wouldnt say race compounds suck for street unless you live somewhere where it rains a lot. As long as you dont heat cycle em too much and you got the money I'd say go for race compounds. I use my race take offs off my f4i on my rr for the street. As for street compounds my favorites are m1's and 012's. The pilot hpx's are for big bore bikes.
