The same happened to my mates civic coupe. His handbrake used to work fine, but the handbrake sensor went bust, thats why the dash light for the brakes was on all the time. He had the sensor replaced and its back to normal now.

TTT

The bulbs are ok, but I open the reserve cap it was some green thing in the brake fluid so I pump most of the fluid in the tank out and there is some green thing on the filter so I get the filter to clean, put every thing back and the light was still on, but one day after that the light is back to normal, so maybe is time to change brake fluid.

The marks on the side of the brake resevouir are shy of the proper "full" level. You are supposed to fill it up as high as you can.

My Integra is cranky that way, she'll whine about the brake system unless I fill her up past all the way.
