Short Shifter Install Questions..
I got some no name Type R (its supposed to be steel) short shifter and energy shifter bushings. When i go to install the short shifter, how much grease should I use when I put the bushing onto the shifter ball? What kinda grease is good to use? Is there any bolts that I should worry about overtightening when I put the assembly back together? I want it to feel as stock as possible. Do I need a torque wrench??
The only bolt you really have to worry about is the one that attaches the shift linkage to the bottom of the shifter. How the shifter feels is totaly related to how tight that bolt is. So just tighen everything up, and feel the shifter....if its too tight, loosen the bolt, if it too loose, tighten it.
Also, it takes a few days for everything to work in and start feeling better. That, or it take a few days for you to get used to it.
