Default Is there such thing as a good looking drag wheel?

Hey guys, just thought that I would ask if anybody has any suggestions on a drag wheel for me...

Im currently running bogart drag-on fly stars... but Im upgrading the fronts to 15", So I figure that If I want to change wheels, now is the time...

anybody seen anything nice out there? Im just not a big fan of the bling factor that all of the polished aluminum wheels have... I would live with polished aluminum if the wheels were a bit cooler to begin with, but...

and the lensos are out because they dont offer a skinny...

I saw an ad a long time ago for a wheel called "spun"... but I called the number and they said that the wheels never ended up being made... But I liked them...

Any other suggestions?

Dude,

Have you seen Weld Wheels? They are pimp!
Did you race at an NCRA event a few years ago at Grand Bend Motorplex? I think I remember your car if you did...

yeah, Ive seen those, but I kinda have this issue with gold... I cant stand it...

I raced at GB once last season... big issues with the car that day... I think that my best run that day was a 12.5 or something... then I got my *** handed to me by paul bwahan (sp?) bad day of racing..

Although still better than a day working...

Paul hands everyone their *** here and Canada and now gives beatings in Hot Rod in the US also. (He runs 8.60s now)

There are quite a few Grand Bend Races next year.. You should come out to our events more, it is nice to see new faces and new cars in Canada..

Here our the GB events..

May 8th - Media Day/Open Test day - Full Preped track
July 11 - Sport Compact Nationals @ GB
Aug 1 - Sport Compact Fever @ GB

Both GB events sound very big, and include concerts and other fun stuff and July 11th also includes Canada Fastest Street Car shoot-out which will have Import and Domestic Street cars index racing. Plus they will still have the NCRA All-Motor and Pro-Comp Class.

Http://www.NCRAspeed.com is not up to date yet..

As for the welds.. Call them, try and get a bare, non gold set and get them anodized in your choice of color at a private anodizing shop. I know someone who is looking at getting a good set done in a different color here in Canada, not sure what his progress is..

Good luck with the car...

I have Welds and you can take the gold center out. Weld sells those so you can have an extra set. Just annodize the center whatever color you want and be done with it.

Im sure you are familiar with the Bogarts. the styles that have the bolts on them can have the center anodized in many different colors. Can be done in Blue, Red, Gold, BLack and some other colors.

It doesnt have to be this style of wheel, but you get the idea on the center Color option.

Monocoque is out of business and Bogart was the ones producing them.

Ya I really like the Weld Import Magnums as well... Just didnt want to be like everyone on the track with the same wheels. You can get the Pro4s and other wheels in anodized centers too. Same with the removable center on the Welds.
