rusted cam gears
I have some ITR camshafts laying around in my room, they arent going to be installed until I begin to build up my head. But I was looking at them today and it looks like the stock cam gears are looking like they are beginning to rust. The previous owner had them in bubble wrapp and oiled the camshafts but it looks like the end of the bubble wrapp was exposed to cold air.....should I be worried about the rust on the cams gears?
not really the rust will come off but for safe measure just before you put it in take a soft brush and scrub most of it off, i have seen some really messed up cam gears work correctly so a little rust won't hurt anything, corect me if i am wrong.

I think the majority of OEM cam gears I've seen on motors from Japan have had a little rust on the gears, probably from sitting in the shipping yards, but it's no problem.
