tranny problems

ok...my friend has a 91 accord auto and when he tries to shift the shifter gets stuck and he has to use the key thing to unlock it, but thats not the only problem when he puts it in d4 it accels really slow. and when he puts it in 1 i goes fine but thes this sliping feeling. yal think its the tranny of torque converter?

also could a b18 converter work on the accord?

it has nothing to do with the tranny...if you open the center console...there's a locking motor...or machanism...it's that lil motor suppost to lock and unlock in there...change it...
