Default Help me pick out a jacket

Alright, so I'm looking at picking up gear for the summer pretty soon and I'm kinda torn between two jackets. I'm pretty much getting the Icon helmet for sure, it's just the coat I'm unsure on.

I can get both jackets for relatively the same price.

Joe Rocket Speedmaster (left)
I think I would like the way this one fits a little better, and looks like an overall better quality jacket. Correct me if I am wrong. OH...and a little speed hump on the back for improved top speed.

Icon Neo Daytona (right)
This one looks like it might be comfortable for the street, but I'm a little worried it might fit a little big, Im a small guy. Also, not sure on the build. OH...and racing patches on the front for improved top speed.

I think the Icon jacket is sick, but the one without the patches. But I have always been a fan of Joe Rocket. I would get the Blaster jacket instead of the Speedmaster that you have in the picture. I'm getting my new Joe Rocket Blaster Jacket and Speedmaster gloves in a week. Yeah!!!

are those 2 pretty much the only ones u will get? what about alpinestars? I just ordered a alpinestars dyno jacket. I'm a teknic guy to be honest but couldnt reject a good offer on the dyno jacket.

but b/t those 2 i think the icon looks better minus the patches.

The Joe Rocket is going to fit more snug because it's geared more toward the track. The Icon will be a little longer and fit a little better in the shoulder area.

For some reason I'm just not a big fan of the blaster. On top of it all I want a jacket thats a little different than everyone in town. Most people have either the blaster or the a-stars stunt. I've looked through a lot of jackets, and this is pretty much what I've narrowed it down to. I like the a-stars TZ-1 a bit, but I think these 2 are my fav.

Edit--> Gloves added for good measure!

I just ordered the Icon Mainframe helmet too! I got the solid black one with an extra silver shield. I have a JR Blaster black/black jacket and looking to get the Alpinestars T-Stunt.

That Icon is hot, I'd get that one.

How much can you get it for. And could you hook me up?

I've just heard they fit similiar to an HJC, and I haven't been impressed with their fits.

Let's hear some more opinions on the jackets, i'm struggling!

BTW...the bike is a silver/black 954....with white/red decal on the tail.

I'm an Alpinestars feller myself. I have the Nicky Hayden Cheetah Jacket from Joe Rocket and I don't think the quality is as good as Alpinestars and it's a far cry from Dainese. The fitting is also not as good for skinny people like me. I think JR is geared for the wider framed individual. I'm saving some chips for that new Alpinestars SMX jacket.

But if I had to choose, that ICON is definately nice.

JR is crap. There are exceptions but they are just that, exceptions. I would say between those, Icon for street gear.

Well, if you dig the patches, you can do what I did. I have a JR alter ego textile jacket, and I found my own patches to iron onto, it's freaking awsome cause no one else has it my way and it's visible from far away.

Well, I ended up getting the JR...hopefully it ends up being a good jacket. I just thought overall I would like the fit of the jacket a lot better than the straight cut on the icon. It was a tough decision, but I ended up getting it for $330 and the msrp is $450...so it was a good deal. I'll let you guys know the quality, fit, etc. when it comes next week.

I bought a size 40us in the jacket. I've wore my buddies before, which is a 38...and his supposedly ran a little big, plus i thought it was a touch on the tight size. I'm 6'0 and about 150-155 pounds...definitely not big by any standards.

Which a-stars did you order? I'm pretty scrawny though, so you might be alright. Where'd you get it from, i know places like kneedraggers will even pay for the shipping the first time you return it if it doesnt fit.
