Alright, this problem is frustrating and confusing. Sometimes out of the blue my car tends to die and come back to life. When I turn the key, the cluster lights would come on but then it shuts off. Lately its when i'm turning the key all the way and I press the clutch to start. As soon as the clutch is pressed the car totally shuts down and the only thing that works is the hazards. I have a brand new battery but i think its either my alternator or a short somewhere. The car will start up later on, like 3 or 4 days later. I also noticed it starts when the weather gets alittle warmer (winter in NY). Anyone have any ideas what this might be? Right now its sitting in front of my friends house. I tried to leave late at 4 am and i turned the key and power came on for a split second n dat was it.

 

sounds like a groung wire.... that happen 2 me 2... i check all my ground and that was it..... if not you might have electrical problems...if so... check the main fuse relay by the fuses cant miss.... if not that, then i tried.....sorry....but that what i tried... mostly ground

 

whats the weather like up there in NY? is your gas low?
