Paper work for an engine sale and swap in?
When i take my engine out of my car and put my swap in what kind of paper work do i need? What do i need to give the guy who bought my engine? Do I have to tell my insurance company or do anything with the registration?
nothing big, just a bill of sale. proving that it was your motor and you were selling it to someone else for X price. include vin number of course.
for a y8? you can find someone to buy that quick. i bet someone will take up on it now if you say "now taking offers''

The only problem is i need 1000 for it. The car has 111k miles. New timing belt and water pump ($300), valve adjustment ($50), new drive belts ($30), aem shortram intake (about $80), DC 4-1 ceramic header ($300 new i only used it a few months so say $200), and a new 02 sensor ($100), pluse the engine runs well. I have abou 1k in upgrades and maintence so its kinda like getting an engine for free. I might try it on ebay and ask for more.
