Default CRX b16a Help Identify Some Parts. lots of pictures

well im almost done with my swap, but i have a few questions as to how to wire/plug/run different things. there's a lot of various parts so its not all specific to one thing, so if you don't know one thing (which probably most will know everything i show) there's probably something else you can help me with.

------

firstly radiator hoses. i bought a teg type r lower 99. and a 2000 civic si upper. i haven't test fitted them but i hear they work well. but i have one hose that has been cut (still on the engine) and im not really sure what it is. in the picture (sorry so bad) you can see im holding three hoses. the one on the right is the upper. in the middle lower and then the one on the left is the one i have no clue as to where it hooks up. heres the picture

http://www.we-todd-did-racing....D.jpg

it is much smaller and i believe it has something to do with the heater possibly. i only have one other place (i think) that it could go, which is here

http://www.we-todd-did-racing....D.jpg

the unit im talking about is at the top left. (the blurry part) which has something to do with the heater i believe. it just seems that the hose has to twist too much to reach it.

-----

secondly, i need to hook up my fuel line. obviously i hook the fuel line up on the left part of the fuel rail

http://www.we-todd-did-racing....D.jpg

but, if i look at the right side of the fuel rail i see that there is another hose--

http://www.we-todd-did-racing....D.jpg

what in the world does this go to? (the thing im holding)

-----

also, Ive gotten alot of the wire harness all hooked up (this is an obd1 engine, dont know if this matters) but i have a few plugs that i cannot hook to anything because of either there not being anything visibly to hook up or the plugs wont run or maybe i have a couple of things switched up. take a look.

this is a stock crx hf harness. if you look here there are two connectors. im not sure if i have the one plugged up in the right place but i could change it for the one right under it. heres a picture of the two connectors im speaking of--

http://www.we-todd-did-racing....D.jpg

problem is the free connector wont reach to the only other connector i can think to connect it to. here is a picture of it. its the brown plug (2 pictures)

http://www.we-todd-did-racing....D.jpg
http://www.we-todd-did-racing....D.jpg

how should i get either of these connectors to this plug. or do these connectors have anything to do with the brown plug (i assume they do)

also there is a free metal connector that i have no clue as to where to connect it to. i know that some things don't get hooked up but is this one of them.--

-----

my fourth problem is that i went ahead and began trying to relocate my battery. i researched alot on this, and although i saw alot about the boxes and routing the wire through the car to the firewall, as soon as all the post got to the distribution block they didn't talk too much about where all the 8 gauge wires hook up (maybe its supposed to be a given, im still not sure though) but here is what i have. Ive got the hawker battery and im running 1 0/T wire from the battery as my power and ground. i have an inline fuse holder with a 200 amp fuse then im running it through the firewall into the engine bay. heres all the things i purchased. some items in the picture im not using--

http://www.we-todd-did-racing....D.jpg
http://www.we-todd-did-racing....D.jpg

well from the distribution block im going to be running 8 gauge wire from it. problem is i don't know where to run and how many wires to run. do i run it to my fuse box and my starter. is there anything else or do i have that all wrong. heres the fuse box--

http://www.we-todd-did-racing....D.jpg (sorry for the horrible quality)

now i know that i will replace the three white wires on the bottom left with my stock crx hf harness ones and also the plug on the bottom right. but what about the plug at the top right and what are the two black wires running from the top left? kinda confused on this. is this where ill be running my 8 gauge wires to? this fuse box is still connected to my obd1 harness that im not using.

also i believe this connector went to my starter. but would i just tape this off and run the wire from my distribution block to the starter? heres the wire im talking about--

http://www.we-todd-did-racing....D.jpg

and heres another connector just like it. maybe went to the fuse box? not sure sorry for it being so dark its right next to the hose in the middle right by the brown plug--

http://www.we-todd-did-racing....D.jpg

----

my last problem for now is i have a couple of things that hoses went to but im not sure what it was that went to them. this one is by the fuel filter

http://www.we-todd-did-racing....D.jpg

this is by the brake booster and master cylinder.

-----

i think these are the only problems i have left. im sorry for such the long thread, i just didn't think it was needed to make multiple threads. thanks for any help that anyone can give. all information will be greatly appreciated.

The first thing I would recommend is go here: http://www.acute.f9.co.uk/crx/...s.htm
and download the VTEC supplement..It will help you a tremendous
amount..It is hard to figure out "adobe acrobat" at first if you have never used it but it works well..
You can print out full size pages and take them to the garage with you..
For instance, page 5-74 of the supplement has a diagram of all coolant hoses..

On your pictures.. You might try using a trouble light etc. for backlighting..
Try to brighten up the subject..and Ease back a little on the extreme close-ups..
Also try using paintshop to outline exactly what you are talking about..

I would have got the engine in and running before attempting the battery relocation..but that is just me..
Take it one step at a time and we will help you work your way through all this..

The lower plug is for the O2 sensor..
see: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=404493&page=1
and https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=404493&page=2
for important info on O2 sensor wiring

From the picture of the fuel line it has been cut.. that won't do..

about the lower plug. thanks for letting me know exactly what that was. i most likely wont use that because i have a 4 wire o2 (xsi engine) so i guess ill just leave that one alone and hide it.

1. That hose goes to the heater control. You will need a new one if that one is cut. You can use your civic hose.

2. Top of fuel filter to left side of fuel rail. Return off fuel pressure regulator goes to the small fuel return below the master cylinder.

3. 2nd pic....1 wire O2 sensor. Since you converted to OBD1 using a Killa harness, you will not need that anymore. Run the 4 wires from my harness to the 4 wire O2 sensor.

4. Brown sensor is the thermo sensor. You will have to extend the OBD0 plug wires to get it to reach. On the OBD0 it is on the back of the block. On the OBD1, it is on the thermo house.

5. That metal wire is for the starter. Look at your starter closely and you will see the tab that it hooks over.

6. Hmm....relocating battery. I just ran a 0-4...I cant remember gauge power wire from the battery into the distribution block. Then one wire out to the fuse box and one wire to the starter.

7. The circle ended wires look like ground wires. Hard to tell from the pics.

8. Emissions red hose....should hook from TB to emissions can.

9. That is the pic of the fuel return line. See #2 above.

Killer harness and hopefully some good service.
