Default O2 Location

I am about to buy a Type-S, but the previous owner redid his whole exhaust. So there is no catalytic converter or any resonators. It's really loud. Anyways, I tried looking for the O2 sensor from underneath the car, but I did not see it. I want to put back a cat so the CEL can go off. Where is the location of the sensor in relation to the cat?

The primary sensor is in front of the cat, sort of at the end of the "down-pipe"
The secondsry sensor is after the catalytic converter just before the three bolt flange that would bolt to the b-pipe...

Check this pic, it will give you a better idea of what it should look like

Thanks, I'll just decide to run without the cat and maybe get an O2 simulator. I'd need to get two, right?

no the simulator goes in the secondary bung on the test pipe. from what i've heard it hasn't helped with eliminating the cel. http://www.capserselectronics.com if you're stil interested in getting one. the cel doesn't affect performance

Ok thanks. My car does not have either the primary or secondary sensors. Will I get terrible gas mileage?

Umm, maybe the O2 sensor is unplugged somewhere b/c when I look under the car, I don't see anything attached to the exhaust. The car doesn't run like **** either. Maybe the sensor is hidden above the exhaust where I can't see it. I should actually lift my car to see. Hopefully the guy who did the exhaust convinced the previous owner to keep the primary on.
