Default Honda F4i ITB setup's?...

I just purchased a set of ITB's from a Honda F4i. I will be cutting a stock ZC manifold and having these welded on.

Proposed setup is looking like...

- Stock ZC
- Reground cams
- decent header with 2.5" exhaust
- PM7 manipulated with AFC.
- ITB's with custom velocity stacks and mesh filters

All this going into my 89 Beater hatch.
Just wondeing if anyone else here has these perticular ITB's on their setup?

Thanks,
Bryson

heya Bryson, i posted on the other board, but i believe the correct throttle bodies are from a CBR 929 f4i. they are the closest match to the spacing of the intake ports

Sup!

I guess I'll see when it gets here...but I'm pretty sure I can get it too work. It's all about where you cut the manifold...also the spacing between the bodies seems to be very close to that of the 929's.

Awsome!

To post a pic (if its hosted online already)...
Right click on the pic...select (properties)...and copy the (URL). Now when making the post, select the little picture icon above the post (kinda yellow with a mountain... )...to get these tags...[IMG][/IMG]

Now just paste the URL between the tags... and your set.

if these pics are on your hard drive, just send them to me, and I will host them for you.

Default f4i ITBS

ill have to agree, even though they are awesome it will be very hard to do and be just a little unstreetable in my mind ( to peaky) they come on so strong at one rpm and that is useless unless you have the tranny to keep you at that rpm good for autocrossing though

Hehehe...sure it is! (compared to doing a full OBD1 Built B18C1 setup into my CRX with SC61 turbo setup ).

Oh cool. I can definetly see that as a possiblity. I will take note of that, and mention it to the welder!

Thanks

it looks really long like its going to be a tight fit....I DO like the fact they are sticking up. Especailly w/ my CVCC since there is an air vent sucking in air right there for the d16

they are actually shorter than the stock manifold ..i had them standing next to eachother but i dont have a good pic of them..The fit really is the least of my worries.(might be less clearance between the firewall and the tb's though )..TUNING this is gonna be a pain, but its something that will get sorted out eventually.

Bullshit. with the 1200+ cost of the TWM's, I could have my entire ZC setup

I'm not looking for all out here. Just a fun little custom project. I'm a backyard innovator at heart, and doing something like this is just fun as ****!

I agree with Bryson, were playing with ideas that(will work )with patience. not to mention that after its all said and done ill have an extra thousand in my pocket and a custom made itb setup for my SOHC under my belt.... Figure if the throttle bodies are free or next to nothing(can find these for like 50 bucks) then it only takes some innovation, time and for me to spend the money where it counts on ANY setup....which is tuning.
