crx sir registration
ah bryant, trying to get some of his jdm parts?
swapping motors is "illegal" too, but most crx owners do it. find a clean titled crx for cheap, swap the vin plates, put all smog equipment on (del sol ****), smog the bitch. if/when they ask why it's RHD and why the firewall vin doesn't match, just say you converted to RHD and you had to cut the firewall.
*note: i am talking out of my *** and have never tried this. in theory, it sounds good...doesn't it?
but if you do part out the car like bryant said, HIT ME UP.

I'd check with your local DMV or County Clerk and see what it takes to register a imported car before listening to anyone here. It varies state to state on what guild lines you must meet.
Lol, no. Just trying to save this guy trouble in the future. Before he has to pay for it to get crushed or exported. What you say phan is highley illegal also, but I'm sure you could pass it off... (not saying do it).
Check all you want with your DMV its still illegal.

i believe you can import here in Canada, but you have to stick a big Phat sticker on the rear of the car stating its a RHD vehicle, and has to be a certain period of time before its actually posible to do so as well. there's probably also smaller and finer details, but i'm not exactly sure.

A lot!!!
You need to clear several hurdles;
1. Find the car
2. Ship the car
3. Clear EPA/DOT
4. Clear Customs
5. Clear your State DMV
6. Clear your insurance company
7. Clear your driveway and drive like you stole it
Basically, if you go through the EPA and DOT websites they TELL YOU IN PLAIN English what to do. I am really pissed that high level of ingornace people display when this type of question is posed. Having RHD car is not illegal. Swapping engines is not against federal law. Is the process hard? Yes, and expensive too. You better be really great at filling out crazy stacks of paper work.
Start with the customs page... look under "import" and then automoblies. They will tell you what is required to import a car into the US. They will link you to the DOT and EPA pages telling you what you need from them to give to customs.
The easiset way (depending on YOUR STATES LAWS... look them up!!!): Import the rex for 'off road use only'. Find a slavage rex/ rex with no title. Use the JDM rex as your 'rebuilt/no title' rex... they will issue you the title after an inspection... again CHECK YOUR STATE LAWS. I know that the process I over simplified is legal in NY. Perhaps not in your state.

i actually looked into this about a year ago. you can do it, but like ba24311 said it is a long and drug out processes. i say if you find a car go for it. if you go to your local dmv and ask how to register a gray market vehicle they should have a piece of paper that tells you everything that you need to do to get it registered, or at least they did when i asked about it.
