Default alternator fuse blowing out

hey what's up? i have a problem. my alternator fuse keeps blowing out and i don't understand why. everytime it goes out my battery indicator light and check engine light comes on and my speedometer doesn't work. at first i thought it was my battery, so i replaced it but it still goes out sometimes. it seems like when i drive it hard it goes out faster. i had it parked for about 5 months but i would start it up once a week. i also had the battery disconnected. i don't have a sound system just header, intake, exhaust, hondata 4, hid, thermostat and fan switch. i don't think that's the problem. any info would be helpful. thanks.

Check all the grounds in the engine bay, just for starters...Then locate a manual for your car and just start trouble shooting it.
Good-Luck, let me talk with some of the guys here at work and I'll see if they recommend anything common.

it's the #4 fuse under the dash. i think it's either the voltage regulator or speed sensor but i'm not sure. unless i have to i don't want to take my car to the dealer cause they will probably not warranty it because of the hondata, so is this something i could do myself. if so where is the problem located? thanks for the help.

Check this image from the Honda Interactive web-site,
The fuse-4, has quite a lot of things that get power off that circuit....It could be any one of these itmes that are blowing that fuse...

Let me know, As always start at the top left and move down, unless you have made modificfations to anything on this page then check what you were messing with and so forth.

Good-Luck

If the image doesn't download correctly P.M. me
