Headlights and Dash lights keep dimming! Why? Alternator?

Headlights and Dash lights keep dimming! Why? Alternator?
About every 10 min my headlights and dashboard lights start to dim on and off. My first reaction is alternator but I want to know if it could be anything else. There is no stereo equipment in this car either

Sounds like a possible voltage regulator problem???
Take to someone who can load test it on the car and see what happens.
Are you talking serious dimming or just a flick? Some will flick just before the regulator kicks in.
Here in Pennsyltucky that happens a lot with the heater on high blow, the rear defog on, and the lights on.
Given your name, I guess you can subtract the defog and replace the heater with A/C
Take to someone who can load test it on the car and see what happens.
